About RuppeGuitar.com

The plan with this website is to collect up all of the past, present, and future challenges I’ve ever experienced with learning, playing, and recording the guitar. Whether it’s on the topic the guitar itself, or the gear associated with it, I’ll make my best effort to relay any, and all, of that information here…

Stephen B. Ruppe

About ME

As stated in a few locations on this website, I go by the name of, Stephen Ruppe. I happen to pronounce my name, “Stefan Roop.” So, that would be: “Roop Guitar.”… Or, however, you want to pronounce it really…

I’ve played guitar for… well, let’s see… it’s approaching over 30 years now; however, it’s a bit more accurate to say that “I started playing guitar over 30 years ago.”… Can you tell the difference in those two statements? I’ve learned quite a bit, but I should also be a lot further along the skill set road than I actually am…

Don’t get me wrong… I have a great to offer the beginner and intermediate guitarists out there… I’m just saying…. I should be better. Perhaps, there’s a lot of us out there that fell that way about a lot of things in life, in general…

Why Visit RuppeGuitar.com?

What I Can Provide

My mission is to curate any, and all, past, present, and future learning experiences I’ve ever encountered when it comes to learning the guitar. Whether it’s talking about the challenges with learning how chord progressions work, finger style challenges, scales, recording stereo guitar, pedal board ideas, operating a DAW, adding effects in your favorite DAW, playing live, etc. …

Sure, there are a great many great guitar players out there willing to do (and are doing) the same thing. I’m just another with, perhaps a slightly different perspective. That’s it really. Nothing special to add. I haven’t played concerts with 1000s (even 100s) of people, and I don’t know any seriously influential musicians (this one’s debatable really), nor have I recorded guitar (or, any other instruments) on songs that are played on the radio…

But… Not only do I have my past (present and future) guitar knowledge and experiences to forward onto you, but I also play the piano, drums, bass (to some degree), and can help you to incorporate those instruments better into your musical creations… If so desired…
